Motorcity

"Motorcity" is a turbo-charged animated series, set in futuristic Detroit, after it has been purchased and built into Detroit Deluxe, a gleaming, modern metropolis privately owned and operated by evil billionaire Abraham Kane. Having banned personal freedoms, including automobile transportation, Kane is ultimately challenged by a group of rebels, The Burners, led by 17-year-old Mike Chilton. The Burners retreat to an underground city, customize their fleet of hot rods and pursue their quest to stop Kane from taking over their last oasis of freedom, a subterranean refuge dubbed Motorcity.

Strong-willed and free-spirited, Mike Chilton used to be one of Kane's cadets until he realized his evil plans and went to Motorcity to form a resistance movement with a renegade group called The Burners. Made up of five key players – Mike, Chuck, Julie, Texas and Dutch – The Burners dedicate themselves to liberating the citizens of Deluxe from Kane's clutches, while also trying to keep Kane's high-tech SafeTBots, who patrol the ground and the sky, from infiltrating Motorcity.

Riding shotgun in Mutt, Mike's car, is his best friend Chuck. Although Chuck is a bit timid, it never gets in the way of his loyalty to his friends. He's a tech-savvy guru who always comes up with a quick solution or escape route when the team needs it most. Julie is the smart, witty Burner who is Mike's most trusted back-up and also serves as an insider at Kane Co, Abraham Kane's company. Texas, all muscle and brute-force, has a bit of an ego but is extremely loyal to the group. Rounding out the team is Dutch, an artistic expert in car mechanics and the most level-headed of the group.

Together, The Burners unite to take on Kane's many challenges. Although they may not always win, they will never stop fighting for what they believe is right. (x)
